How Employee Punches Are Applied

My Web Clock accommodates a mobile, changing work force by accepting employee punches (active employees) under a diverse set of job-related circumstances and applying them, in the following order of precedence, to:

  1. An active shift (a shift on the current date) within the Allowed Range. This shift is associated (in the Vision schedule) with a particular Customer, Location and Position.

  2. The employee's default Customer, Location and Position if the employee is not scheduled.  This is determined by the Work Order (if any) assigned the employee in Vision's Employee Master.

  3. The Web Clock’s default Customer, Location and Position, as defined by the Supervisor in Device Management.

  4. If the above actions are unsuccessful, the punch is applied to the first Position of the first Location of the first Customer in the Division.

Employees In Multiple Divisions

If employees are active in more than one division, they must choose the appropriate Division, Customer, Location, and Position before selecting a punch.

1.

1.  The Time displayed in My Web Clock reflects the Time Zone specified in ValLink's Device Management.

2.

2.  The Division, Customer, Location and Position are based on the user's login.

3.

3.  The Function drop-down reflects any special functions defined in the Company's Punch Action Configuration.
